Pupil Premium Funding

What Is Pupil Premium?

The Pupil Premium is allocated to children from families who are currently known to be eligible for Free School Meals (FSM), children who have received Free School Meals at some point in the last 6 years in mainstream schools, children who have been looked after continuously for more than 6 months and children from armed services personnel families.  Adopted children are also eligible for the Pupil Premium Grant.

The Government believes that Pupil Premium, which is additional to main stream funding, is the best way to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers.
